Books and newspapers are displayed everywhere, evidence that Costa Ricans have made of themselves one of the most highly literate nations on earth. More than ninety-three percent of the people can read and write.

Comfortable Climate

Costa Rica has two seasons; the Dry Season from December-April and the Green Season from May-November. The Green Season brings late afternoon or evening showers and fewer crowds.

Mission Statement: Nature exists for all we might think that we are in charge of the Earth, but we are not. Nature exists for all beings. Resources are limited and belong to all species and they should not be wasted. We should discourage degrading forms of economic growth and encourage earth sustaining forms. Our success is increased by learning the ways that nature sustains itself and using such lessons to enhance the way we think and work. We should leave very few footprints in this world so that other generations can live as we have. We should never deplete or degrade the earth’s natural capital and never try to live off of the resources of its demise. We should live in harmony with nature taking no more than we need so that our life style does not reduce biodiversity. We need to not do things to harm life, air, water, or soil so that we can help the earth’s capacity to heal its self from our development so that it can provide sustenance for all, now and forever.
